Korgen and the Røssåga river1947–49

The Røssåga river runs through Korgen. It is 50 kilometres long and flows north from the lake Røssvatnet to Sørfjorden at Bjerka.

The E6 runs through Korgfjellet in the Korgfjell Tunnel (Korgfjelltunnelen), which is about 8.5 kilometres long and opened in 2005. The mountain lies at around 600 metres above sea level on average.

About 24 kilometres east-south-east of Huset are the Okstindan mountains, with Oksskolten – 1,916 metres above sea level and the highest mountain in Northern Norway.
